What is QSI?

Quantum Stack Investing, in plain English.

Don't start a business from scratch. Buy one that already makes money, then trade up, again and again, until the math makes you wealthy.

  1. 01

    Buy cashflow

Acquire an established business that already throws off cash, with as little as 5% of your own cash down. A bank funds the rest, because the business's Cashflow covers the loan.

  2. 02

    Let it pay itself off

The business's own cashflow makes the loan payments. Every payment quietly builds your equity, the hidden engine.

  3. 03

    Sell, then stack

Roll that equity into a bigger business, and repeat. Each stack multiplies your wealth. That's the 'stack' in Quantum Stack Investing.

The power of stacking

You bring the down payment, not the price.

Your $50K
buys a $1M business
$333K / yr cash flow
Roll the equity
into a $5M business
$1.67M / yr cash flow
Stack again
a $25M business
$8.3M / yr cash flow
You never needed millions in cash - just the down payment, and time.

That's it. No hype, no hocus-pocus, just predictable math.

The wealthy figured this out long ago: you don't build wealth, you buy it.

While you were told to grind a business up from zero, they quietly bought the ones that already worked.

The gurus selling you the dream? Most have never closed a single deal.

No money down. Grow forever. Get rich quick. Every one of them a lie.

So you chase growth and burn out, while the real engine, cashflow, sits in plain sight.

It was never magic. It's math, the same math the banks use to make sure the house always wins.

Now, for the first time, I'm handing you the playbook.

Quantum Stack Investing - front cover
Quantum Stack Investing - back cover

No sugarcoating. No BS. Seventy percent of this book makes you a smart buyer and a smart seller - the rest is the QSI math that changes everything.

The dirty secret of the acquisition-guru business: most of them sold one company, then quit doing deals to sell you a course.

I never stopped closing them.

The lie

They sold you a fantasy. You bought it.

No money down. Rich in a weekend. Buy a business from your couch. The acquisition 'experts' built an entire industry on telling you what you want to hear - a hope and a prayer with a sales funnel bolted on. It wipes people out. I'm going to tell you what you need to hear instead.

The truth

Buying the right business is the least risky money you'll ever put to work.

Sounds backwards. It isn't. An existing business already has customers, systems, and Cashflow - a track record you can read before you ever write a check. The gurus skip this part because 'it already works' doesn't sell like 'overnight empire.' But it's the truth, and it comes down to one number: Cashflow.

How it actually works

Real money down. Real math. Real ownership.

Forget zero down. You put in as little as 5% of real cash, a bank funds the rest because the business's own Cashflow covers the loan, and you control an asset worth many times your stake. Then you sell, and stack the proceeds into a bigger one. That's Quantum Stack Investing. It's not a trick, and it's not no-money-down. It's how wealth has always been built - they just never told you.

Why listen to me

Because I've done this more than the people teaching it.

Most 'acquisition experts' sold a company or two and pivoted to selling courses. I never left the arena. I'm a working broker who's closed deal after deal, year after year, and I even ran a mortgage company with its own bank line. Talking about deals and actually getting them done are two very different things. This book is the second kind.

How it works

QSI is buying Cashflow. Nothing else.

It's based on predictable math. These nine ideas take you from your first gut check to the operator's seat - and the next stack.

Inside the book

The whole game, in three sections.

Nine of the ideas that run through QSI - the method, buying a business, and selling one. The book goes deeper on every one.

About the author

Chad Peterson

Not a guru. A transactionalist.

I didn't read about this in a book. I wrote the book, because I've spent my career in the trenches of business acquisitions, closing the deals most 'experts' only talk about: over $100 billion in transactions and counting. The traditional brokerages rejected me for not looking the part, the beard, the tattoos, the earrings, so I built my own firm and did it my way. I've bought, sold, and stacked my own businesses, brokered countless others, and even ran a mortgage company with its own bank line. When I tell you something about buying or selling a business, it isn't theory. It's Tuesday.

Traditional vs. QSI

Two very different ways to build wealth.

Risk
Starting from scratch
Bet years on an unproven idea - most startups never make it.
Quantum Stack Investing
Buy proven Cashflow, backed by bank rules and a real management team.
Time
Starting from scratch
A whole career for one payday - maybe.
Quantum Stack Investing
Do in ten years what a career does; 4-5 year holds.
Capital
Starting from scratch
Bring it all and burn your savings funding the build.
Quantum Stack Investing
As little as 5% of your cash; the bank funds the rest and Cashflow makes the payment.
Learning curve
Starting from scratch
Guesswork and hypothesis - learn it all the hard way.
Quantum Stack Investing
Step into systems that already work; predictable, modelable math.
Exit
Starting from scratch
One big sale before retirement - if it ever comes.
Quantum Stack Investing
Stack into a Next Larger Business and stay 'at choice.'

See it for yourself

Don't take my word for it. Run the numbers.

Incredible concepts and education in this book for business owners and wannabees
Had I knew about this concept when I was coming out of college, I would have 10 or 11 figures of net worth today at 54 years old. I had no idea about the power of leveraging SBA loans to buy and sell businesses after a few years as opposed to working a career at a company or starting a business and working there forever for just my paycheck. One thing that stuck with me in the book is the passion cycle. I started my company job at 25 and by the time I was 30, it became just a job. I was bored, yet making what I thought was good money. The concepts in this book really woke me up and would have gotten me out of that corporate job, holding the reigns of my own business a lot sooner than I actually did. This book could be considered the bible for anyone who is thinking of buying or selling a business as it is a really fool proof way of getting what you want in life through ownership of a business and then trading up after a while.

No-Nonsense, Wealth-Building Game Changer
If you've ever wondered how some entrepreneurs seem to build massive wealth while others grind away with little to show for it, Quantum Stack Investing will answer that question in a way that makes you rethink everything you thought you knew about business ownership. Chad Peterson doesn’t just lay out another businesses book - he hands you a financial playbook that has the potential to completely shift your wealth-building trajectory. The concept of Quantum Stack Investing (QSI) is brilliantly simple but wildly underutilized. Peterson explains how this strategy can generate life-changing wealth in a fraction of the time that traditional entrepreneurship requires. The math doesn’t lie, and if you follow the numbers, you’ll see why this approach is a no-brainer for those willing to take action. Peterson exposes common myths about business ownership - like the idea that you should hold onto a business forever or that buying a business requires a fortune in cash. His breakdown of debt leverage and compounding growth alone is worth the price of the book.

Frequently asked questions

Isn't this just get-rich-quick?+
No. QSI runs on 5-20 year horizons and actually reduces risk - it uses bank rules and Cashflow-serviced debt instead of gambling. It's not quick, and it's not a lottery ticket. It's solid math.
Isn't buying a business riskier than buy-and-hold investing?+
No. QSI doesn't depend on dramatic growth - it focuses on steady Cashflow. It's far easier to keep a train on the tracks than to build the trains and the tracks.
Is this just flipping or raiding companies?+
No. QSI buys a strong business and improves it so it's worth more at sale. It enhances companies - which benefits their customers, employees, and vendors - it doesn't raid them.
Don't I need a fortune in cash to buy a business?+
No, and this is the big one: you don't need the purchase price. You can buy with as little as 5% of your own cash down. A bank finances up to 90% and a seller note can cover the rest, because the business's own Cashflow makes the payments. $50K of real cash, not $1M, can put you into a $1M business.
Doesn't the SBA cap loans - doesn't that stop bigger deals?+
It's a limit, not a wall. Increase your down payment, use a seller carry-back, or work with banks that get creative. I hit the cap myself and stacked right past it.
Won't taxes eat my returns?+
Taxes are a factor, rarely a deal-breaker. Selling one business and buying a larger one can create a positive tax swing, about as close to tax-free as I've ever seen. Always confirm with your own tax advisor.
Do I have to reinvest all the proceeds into the next business?+
No. Pocket some, diversify some, split it across two businesses - whatever fits your goals. The math still works.
Taking on that much debt is terrifying.+
The larger business and its Cashflow are bigger and more stable too, with a real management team that relies less on you. Test your fear by modeling it - the numbers usually calm it down.
If the business is so good, why is the owner selling?+
Usually burnout, boredom, age, or health - not a hidden flaw. Owners outgrow their businesses the same way you outgrew the job you left at eighteen.
Can I do this if I'm not bankable yet?+
Bankability isn't permanent. Hustle, grit, creativity, and free education can move you to a fundable position. There's plenty of money looking for good deals.
Do I really need a broker?+
Selling it yourself sounds like a way to save the commission - until your emotions cost you the deal. A good broker brings detachment, valuation, qualified-buyer screening, confidentiality, and deal coordination you can't pull off while running the company.
What if I love my company?+
Then keep it - don't trade something you love for money. Or keep it and run QSI on a second business. You can do both.
So if I follow this, I'll get rich, right?+
No guarantees - every investment carries risk of loss. But using bank debt to buy closely held businesses has made a lot of people wealthy, and it can multiply your results beyond most other investments.
